As a custom home builder in South Jersey, we made this customer’s vision come to life. With white ship lap walls, we installed floating shelves and cabinets overtop of the ship lap wall and built a custom Butcher Block Table/Countertop. We sanded down the butcher block and stained it with a clear coat sealer. All of the nails of the ship lap planks are hidden with the nailing flange of each plank and then overlapped with the next plank on top. The nails of the planks were shot into the studs, not just the sheetrock.
